The history of Westerman goes all the way back to 1880, when we started out distributing bicycles from manufacturers to shopkeepers. Since then, Westerman has grown to become a dynamic company transporting goods throughout Europe. Our challenge has always been to find the most efficient transport solution, whether by road, rail, sea or inland waterways.
Westerman is conveniently located in the Netherlands, with a warehouse in Nieuwleusen and a container terminal in Hasselt (Overijssel). Our modern vehicle fleet, smart systems and skilled workers enable us to provide the transport you’re looking for. In addition to transport, Westerman also offers warehousing and value-added logistics, enabling us to take care of the entire logistics chain.
Sustainable logistics
The container terminal in Hasselt enables Westerman to offer cargo transport through inland waterways. After all, this is the most sustainable form of transport, and sustainability is important to Westerman. In 2010, we received the Lean & Green Award for our efforts on behalf of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment.
