Westerman celebrates success: Albert named Best Transport & Logistics Practical Trainer 2026

We are proud to share that our colleague Albert van den Berg has been named Best Transport & Logistics Practical Trainer 2026. In addition, our colleague Jhyro Hagedoorn achieved an fantastic second place in the STL Transport Talent 2026 category.

Albert, Manager Capacity Logistics at Westerman Multimodal Logistics in Nieuwleusen, was praised by the expert jury for his approach to mentoring. According to the jury, he stands out because of his combination of structure, personal attention and a strong focus on student development.

The jury explained its decision as follows:
“Albert knows exactly what students need to succeed. He listens, asks the right questions and provides guidance that goes beyond the subject itself. Through his commitment, personalised approach and focus on the person behind the student, he creates a learning environment where young people feel safe and are encouraged to grow.”

Jhyro’s achievement also deserves special recognition. The STL Talent category focuses on young professionals who are passionate about their work-study programmes, strive to get the best out of themselves every day, take pride in their work and clearly enjoy their profession. Jhyro’s second-place finish is a fantastic recognition of his dedication and talent.

We are proud of these results. These awards highlight the importance of good mentoring, personal development and a passion for the profession within our organisation.
