Westerman takes big step in sustainability
Westerman Multimodal Logistics takes another step closer to a sustainable future.

Westerman takes big step in sustainability
We think it is important to become more sustainable. That is why we expect the first electric trucks in our fleet soon. If we want to charge these trucks efficiently and sustainably, we need enough power at our sites but, due to congestion on the power grid, this cannot always be taken for granted.
To ensure that we at Westerman are prepared for what will come our way in the future, we have taken some big steps:
- We have installed 2058 solar panels on our roof with a capacity of 1.2 mWp in recent weeks. This will enable us to provide much of our own energy.
- A new transformer has been installed on our site and the connection capacity has been increased from 630 kVa to 1750 kVa. This makes it possible to receive more grid power in the future.
- Preparations for a charging plaza to charge electric trucks have started and it is expected to be operational around ze summer period.
With these steps in electrification, we are one step closer to a sustainable future with which we will take care of tomorrow’s world.
