Next step! – Another milestone!

This week Westerman Multimodal Logistics and Jernhusen AB concluded the agreement for the planned development of a rail-connected warehouse terminal (25.000 m2) and the re-development of the intermodal kombi-terminal (40.000 m2) in Västerås (SE).

The next step and another milestone in the establishment of the Green Wagon Corridor. After the summer the building activities are planned to start. Westerman will be able to offer their logistics services as from October 2026 in Västerås, like in the other terminal hubs in our Green Wagon Corridor in Malmö (SE), Laar (D) and Verona (I) – Wagonhandling, Warehousing, Crossdocking and Value-Added-Logistics. In addition Westerman will operate the intermodal kombi-terminal. The hub in Västerås will also function as an inland dry port for containers, in relation to the direct railconnection with the port of Gothenburg (SE).

Great to work and move towards beginning of 2027, when all the hubs of the corridor will be active and operational! We will keep you updated about the upcoming developments.
