Westerman receives first electric delivery truck

Westerman Multimodal Logistics is taking another great step toward sustainable transport: putting its very first electric delivery truck into operation.

Westerman’s first electric delivery truck is a reality!

This week, we at Westerman receives our first electric delivery truck at our Nieuwleusen location. An important next step in making our operations more sustainable.

It’s a Volvo FM Electric with a 540 kW battery capacity, which we will mainly use for distribution work. After each distribution run, the truck will be charged at our own charging facility, powered by electricity generated by the solar panels on the roof of our warehouse.

Step by step, we’re working toward a cleaner future in logistics.
